[The First Media] Woomtree, successfully completed the first round of Chef's Supporters with 300 participants

The first group of Woomtree's Um Chef Gourmet Supporters has completed their activities.

The Umchef Gourmet Supporters are supporters who taste and evaluate new products scheduled for release in 23 years, and are conducted for consumers who love food and Woomtree. The first Umchef Gourmet Supporters had a total of 300 consumers participate in 5 tasting events.

This event, which is a collaboration between Director Yeon-chan Jeong of the Woomtree Technology Central Research Institute and culinary researcher Go-eun Noh, concluded the 5th Gourmet Supporters event on February 23rd with a low-sugar gochujang that is different from other companies.

Low-sugar gochujang uses sucralose, a substitute sugar, to contain 2g of sugar, and contains indigestible maltodextrin, a dietary fiber that helps suppress postprandial blood sugar levels and aids bowel movements, so even patients with metabolic syndrome can enjoy delicious gochujang without worrying about their blood sugar levels. Low-sugar gochujang is scheduled to be released as a new product from Woomtree in March.

An official from Woomtree Technology Central Research Institute said, “We ask for your continued interest and love for the development of Woomtree’s own healthy and delicious functional food products in line with consumers’ interest in low-calorie and low-sugar products.”

Meanwhile, Woomtree celebrates its 45th anniversary this year and releases about 20 new products every year. It currently exports 80 types of food products with deep and rich flavors to 45 countries as well as domestically. In 2016, it received the Seoktap Industrial Medal, and in 2021, it achieved the feat of winning the $3 million Export Tower Award.
